The LutherNole Network seeks to make connections between Lutheran ‘Nole  alumni, and graduating students heading out into the real world. Through this we seek to strengthen the spiritual connections in the Body of Christ of our FSU family.*

Welcome! The LutherNole Network is an alumni network for the Lutheran alumni of Florida State University. If that’s you, we’re glad that you’ve found us! The LutherNole network does two things: It connects young graduating LutherNoles with people in the cities and towns that they are moving to, and it connects current Lutheran FSU students to those who are already working in the vocations they are planning on going into. We do all of this because we believe that the connections within the Body of Christ are important.

What are people doing RIGHT NOW?

Right now Lutheran alumni of Florida State are doing all sorts of  things with the education that they received at Florida State and the  spiritual maturing that they experienced at University Lutheran.  We don't  know what ALL of our alumni are doing but here are some examples:

One alumni is currently writing copy for several magazines and working on a couple of books thatmight be published soon.

We know of at least 4 alumni couples who got married this year, and one  that weknow had a baby.

We also have a bunch of church-working alumni: One who is studying at the  seminary, at least two currently active pastors, two ministers of music,  and one director of Christian education.

Do we know what YOU'RE doing?  If not, please let us know so that we might  be able to connect you to a student who is thinking about going into your  vocation! Please use the use "I'm A LutherNole" form to sign up to be a part of the

Why an alumni association?

There are not many campus ministries that run an alumni association, and those that do will largely run their alumni association simply for the sake of fundraising for their campus ministry – we want the LutherNole Network to be something more. We want it to be a service to our alumni and our current students, and we want it to be a clear picture of what the Body of Christ is like.

We believe that it is important to reflect this concept of “the Body of Christ” that shows up in Paul’s letters like I Corinthians and Colossians. The Body of Christ is the collection of believers who are gathered together by the Holy Spirit and hold faith in Jesus Christ in common. This connection is something that we are purposeful about trying to develop and sustain for students at FSU, but is something that often times is difficult for FSU students to find when they graduate.

It is also important for our students, as they are going through their time here in Tallahassee, to realize that they are “surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses” of people who have gone before them. It is important for them to know that others have gone before them and struggled with the same things that they have: good grades and bad grades, breakups and new relationships, losses and wins at Doak-Campbell, and much much more. It is important also that they realize that our graduates go all over the world and live our their vocations in a way that is pleasing to God.
